Jake
Meet Jake the endlessly curious, full-of-beans boy whose imagination runs faster than a squirrel on roller skates!
At eight years old, Jake’s mind sparkles with ideas that sometimes rush out all at once. Like many children with ADHD, his curiosity and creativity light up every corner of Three Little Woods. He lives with his mum, Claire, who encourages him to spend as much time outdoors as possible with Dan the Gardener and their friends.
With muddy boots, messy hair, and a grin as bright as the morning sun, Jake is happiest when he’s hands-on digging, building, inventing, exploring. He’s built birdhouses from recycled bottles, rain gauges from jam jars, and once even tried to create a wind-powered worm hotel (it didn’t quite work, but it made everyone laugh!).
Life in Three Little Woods has taught Jake that you can make almost everything you need from what’s around you a lesson he loves to share. His home is built from local stone and timber gathered from the nearby beach and woods. When winter arrives, his mum swaps her famous raspberry jam for wool from the local shepherd, knitting warm jumpers, hats, and tea cosies by the fire.
Jake’s adventures never stop from gardening at the allotment with Dan, helping at the October Conker Festival, or exploring the Great Forest with Skipper the Dog. Every day is a new chance to learn, laugh, and make something wonderful from nature’s treasures.
Jake’s ADHD isn’t something to “fix”, it’s his superpower. It helps him see possibilities others might miss, turning ideas into action and mistakes into masterpieces. He reminds everyone that being different isn’t something to hide; it’s something to celebrate.
His motto: “Think big, dig deep, and never stop exploring!”
