πŸ‘©β€πŸ³ Method

Always ask an adult to help with hot pans and electrical equipment.

  1. Break the bread into pieces and put them into a mixing blender.
Ask an adult to help you turn it into breadcrumbs.
  2. Melt the butter in a large frying pan.
Ask an adult to turn the hob on for you.
  3. Add the chopped onion and gently cook for about 5 minutes, stirring with a wooden spoon, until soft.
  4. Stir in the sage and cook for 1 minute until it smells lovely.
  5. Add the breadcrumbs and stir well so they soak up all the buttery goodness.
  6. Add the chopped apricots, chestnuts, salt and a little black pepper.
Cook over a medium heat for about 7 minutes, stirring often, until the crumbs turn golden and slightly crispy.
  7. Take the pan off the heat and stir in the parsley.
  8. Serve warm – or pop it in the oven on a low heat to keep it warm and crispy.
